Data

Sources

The terminal favors public, source-linked data and displays source health so readers can see when live inputs are fresh, stale, manual, or unavailable.

Fiscal Anchor

The base fiscal assumptions and sensitivities are entered in the site configuration from Alberta's published budget materials.

The site should be updated when the government publishes a new budget, fiscal update, or sensitivity table.

Market And Macro Inputs

WTI and Western Canadian Select references are currently parsed from public market quote pages. USD/CAD and Canada 10-year yield data come from Bank of Canada Valet endpoints. Alberta natural gas and earnings data come from Alberta economic data endpoints.

Commercial-scale use should include a source-rights review for any scraped market quote pages and, if needed, a licensed commodity data provider.

Data Quality

Each live input has an observed timestamp and source link where available.

Live data can lag, fail, or change format. The application caches responses, applies timeouts, and exposes manual fallback controls.
