Privacy Policy

Alberta Budget Terminal is designed to collect as little personal information as practical for a public fiscal tool.

Information Stored In Your Browser

The terminal uses browser local storage for saved scenarios, recent history, and fiscal-year-to-date entries. This information stays on your device unless you share it yourself.

Shared scenario links encode scenario values in the URL so another user can open the same view.

Server Logs

Hosting and API providers may process technical information such as IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamps for security, debugging, and reliability.

The application does not currently require accounts or collect names, passwords, or payment information.

Analytics And Advertising

The site includes Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and selected product interactions, such as scenario saves, CSV exports, share-link copies, and live refresh outcomes.

Advertising is not currently implemented in the repository. If Google AdSense or another ad system is added, this policy must be updated before launch to describe cookies, identifiers, ad personalization, measurement, and opt-out choices.

If ads are served to users in regions requiring consent, the site should use an appropriate consent management platform before loading advertising tags.
